We’re bustling with excitement to announce that Sayenza Biosciences has been crowned the winner of the Startup World Cup Orange County/Los Angeles regional competition! This prestigious event, held on April 30th at UCI Beall Applied Innovation, showcased the most innovative startups in our region.
A Challenging Win
This victory is particularly sweet given the challenging pitch format. The industry-agnostic competition only allowed two minutes to present our complex technology and vision, followed by three minutes of rigorous Q&A from the judges. Our success in this format speaks volumes about the strength of our solution and our ability to communicate it effectively.
The Journey Ahead
Winning the regional competition means we’re advancing to the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco on October 4th. There, we’ll compete against top startups from around the world for a chance to secure a $1 million investment and make a significant impact in our industry.
Previous Startup World Cup keynote speakers include Steve Wozniak (Apple Co-founder), Alexis Ohanian (Reddit Co-founder), and Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn Co-founder) and this year’s Grand Finale is no exception. We anticipate a truly inspiring keynote from Robert Herjavec. This renowned entrepreneur, investor, and star of “Shark Tank” has built multiple successful businesses and is known for his sharp business acumen and insightful advice. The opportunity to learn from him is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
